Series of 1928C $1 Silver Certificate Star Notes - Values and Pricing

Series of 1928C one dollar silver certificate star notes are very rare.  We don’t know how many were printed, but there certainly aren’t too many floating around.  The 1928C $1 star note is the second key to the six note series.

A heavily circulated 1928C one dollar star note will cost around $1,500.  Needless to say, prices can go up rather quickly from there for a nicer 1928C $1 silver certificate star note.

One reason 1928C one dollar star notes are scarce is due to the short period of time they were printed.  All 1928C $1 star notes were signed by WO Woods and WH Woodfin.  These men were in office together from March 1933 to May 1933, for a total of 88 days.

All 1928C one dollar silver certificate star notes feature a portrait of George Washington at center and a blue seal on the left hand side of the note.  All 1928C $1 silver certificate star notes are known as “funnybacks.”  They get this name from their distinctive back design.

We are aggressive buyers of all 1928C silver certificate star notes.  Contact us now and tell us what you have.  You will likely be very pleased with our offer.
