High Denomination Note Values - $500, $1,000, $5,000 & $10,000 Bills

We are aggressive buyers of all high denomination notes.  Please contact us for our buy prices on any notes you have.  Use the guide below to determine rarity.

High denomination notes were printed for the 1928, 1934, and 1934A series.  High denomination refers to currency with a face value of $500, $1,000, $5,000, or $10,000.

As a general rule, a problem free $500 or $1,000 bill is worth about 20% over face value or more.  High grade uncirculated $500s and $1,000s are worth around twice face value.  Both of these rules change dramatically if the note has a star symbol at the end of the serial number.  Star notes are rare and we recommend you contact us for an appraisal of a star note.
