Description:  This $50 Confederate note has a picture of Jefferson Davis in the center. This note was printed on both plain and watermarked paper with black, green, and red ink. 

If the serial number of your note is 3987, 4553, 57257, or 57557 then what you have is a reproduction with no collector value.  Please do not contact us if you have a reproduction.


Inscriptions: "Two Years after the Ratification of a Treaty of Peace the Confederate States and the United States, the Confederate States of America will pay to the bearer on demand Fifty Dollars/ Richmond, April 6th 1863/ Fundable in stocks or bonds of the Confederate States of America/ Receivable in payment of all dues except export duties/ Keatinge & Ball, Columbia S.C."
